Khadi and Village Industries Board Employees’ Union Executive Sworn In by Minister Rakesh Sachan

Lucknow: The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected executive committee of the Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board Employees’ Union was held in Lucknow, with Minister for Khadi and Village Industries, Sericulture, Handloom and Textiles Rakesh Sachan administering the oath of office and secrecy to the office-bearers.

The ceremony was attended by Joint Chief Executive Officer of the Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board Siddharth Yadav as the guest of honour, while R.D. Kuril was present as the special guest. Board officials and employees also participated in the event.

The newly elected executive committee assumed office following the union elections held on May 31, 2026.

Kamlesh Kumar Verma took oath as President, while Harigend Maurya was sworn in as General Secretary. Sughar Singh Yadav and Harikaran Singh assumed charge as Vice Presidents.

Pratibhas Srivastava was sworn in as Secretary, Ashish Kumar as Organisation Secretary, Ram Bharat as Treasurer, Umesh Kumar Gaur as Publicity Secretary, and the following members took oath as executive committee members: Gunjan Singh, Ramanand Verma, Hemant Rawat, Kamlesh Kumar Singh, Ashwani Kumar Raju, Mahendra Kumar Mishra and Harendra Singh Nishad.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Rakesh Sachan extended his best wishes to the newly elected team and expressed confidence that the executive committee would work collectively for the welfare of employees while contributing to the effective functioning of the Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board.

The ceremony concluded with officials and employees congratulating the newly sworn-in office-bearers and reaffirming their commitment to strengthening the board’s activities and promoting the state’s khadi and village industries sector.
